Ananda Seva retreats are a way to deepen your spiritual practice and come together with other sincere practitioners to live the yogic lifestyle. These retreats are also opportunity for those who are just beginning to learn about yoga and meditation to receive personal instruction.
We offer both day long and extended yoga and meditation retreats in the United States, Canada, Europe and in the Phillipines. In the United States, ASM offers a six-day international retreat in the summer and a five-day retreat in the winter. There are also more intimate three or four-day regional retreats offered in the spring and autumn.
Ananda Seva retreats emphasize the spiritual aspects of one’s being and are dedicated to bringing people interested in deepening their spiritual life together in supportive sangha (spiritual community). Retreats offer discourses and workshops on various aspects of spiritual life, as well as meditation sessions four times a day and 1-3 yoga classes each day.
Chanting, kiirtan, devotional songs and the practice of Bhakti yoga (devotion), Jaina yoga (knowledge) inquiry and Karma yoga (service) are emphasized. Some retreats put special emphasis on moving spirit into action through viable paradigms for sustainable development. Delicious Sattvic vegetarian meals are always provided.
All are welcome at our retreats regardless of affiliation or background and no one will be turned away for financial reasons.
