Intentionality
There are many afflictions in human life. People suffer afflictions in many forms. Acharyas and tattvikas are not immune, for all suffer. Despite the troubles of life, one may do good service to others. Intention counts. All actions stem from intention. I suggest that each and every day you set your intentions in a clear way, follow yama and niyama, and review them. It would best today to begin filling out your yama and niyama journals and do this on a regular basis as a reminder of your spiritual practices. You can make your own chart then each day review each of the yamas and the niyamas and assess your day according to how attentive you have been to each precept.
Set your intentionality each day to serve Lord and work for the welfare of all beings. These actions and these noble sentiments will bring you far. As part of setting your intention, when you review each yama and niyama and reflect, do not use this to feel badly about yourself. Make it an exercise to further your development, to train your mind in certain habits.
In ancient times before a sadhaka could receive any teachings, they had to demonstrate proficiency in yama and niyama. Otherwise, the masters did not give them the initiation. It part of ashtaunga yoga and essential to your spiritual path. To recognize its importance be able to help others recognize its importance, you must you do this daily exercise. I want to encourage this practice. I think you will find it beneficial.
Through noble intent and selfless action, the world becomes a little better place for everyone. Even with your own troubles and pain, still to have noble intent and to do good works has great result. From good intentions, good actions arise. Unite your hearts and minds. When you need help from each other in your own troubles and struggles, reach out to each other. The community of acharyas is a community to help each other on the spiritual path. All share the same intent, the same noble intent.
The family acharyas and tattvikas of Ananda Seva are such people so you reach out to each other. This is a community. Stay in touch with each other. The reporting system has become a little lax and I want it to become active again. It should be a monthly communication bulletin board between everyone. Each person should report what they are doing. The form is all right to use but not necessary. Rather allow acharyas and tattvikas to talk to each other about what they are doing. Everyone must report each month.
It is important that communications between acharyas and tattvikas continue. By joining the group, the email list, you can communicate all your good works and anything else you like and you will receive this from others.
