Decayed and Stagnant Must Fall Away

The ages of the world are changing. Let all who abide here know this is a time of transition. Before the new can exist, that which is decayed and stagnant must fall away. Now is a time of transition from those paradigms of the prior age to the new integrative wholeness of the coming era. Let all who are here at this time become aware that there are forces that pull them in two directions. Always look to the bright new beginnings, the potentials in human life. Never be daunted by the struggle of transition. A new day approaches in the human experience, a new dawn in which human potential may fully realize itself.

Human beings have used but a small portion of their potential capacity. With the new time coming, the unity of human beings will dominate rather than the individuality. The one human family will reunite, explore and realize the potentials of human existence. With this will dawn the first true human society and the ravages of war will no longer be a part of the human experience. This transition from the self-centered age now passing away to this time of collectivity may entail some upheavals. No true reward comes without some struggle. The forces that have dominated human society will not give up without a struggle but as sure as the dawn comes, so will this new era in human experience. I say to each of you, look to this bright future for humanity and never give up hope and never be daunted by the struggles of transition. The future is bright and the goal to achieve this unity in human society is well worth the struggle.

Q. Baba, do you think this will happen in our lifetime?

A. It depends on how long your life will be. It is happening already and it will continue to happen over the next several hundred years. Yes, you will see the great transitions in your life towards things you never dreamed could exist. The potentials are very high at this time. Still, it is a time of polarization. Light and dark are in contrast with each other. Always keep your focus and mind upon the light. Always stress unity among people and the love and compassion for all beings and never let your spirits become dark. Then you surely will traverse the times of polarization remaining ever enveloped in the light of the sublime entity.

Evolution in the social order is bound to continue. Evolution in the biology of human beings is also occurring. The interconnections and wholeness, the interrelations between peoples are evolving. The emphasis upon the care and maintenance of the whole will become stronger. Keep your mind ever focused upon the light of the omnipresent divinity and that light surely will envelop you, guide you, and carry you safely across any turbulences that arise.

This is a very good time in human history because it is a time when stagnation and the darker forces are breaking apart. They lose their grip but they do not give up without a little fight! It is a very good time in human history, a very dynamic time and you will see many changes even in the next few years towards this bright new future for humanity. There may be some little trouble here and there but do not let it burden you. Always look to the light. Envelop yourself in the light of the sublime, in the unconditional love, in the unity that lies underneath all struggles.

Q. What do you think is going to be the main force that is going to change the materialism that endless numbers of people are involved in? Do you have any idea what is going to change that because it is so dominant?

A. Yes. Very good question. This materialism, this degeneration of the vaeshyan age is bound to change due to the natural evolution of the social cycle. As in the evolving of a species, a natural evolution occurs in the social arena and it is unstoppable. The desire of the human species to survive is strong. That desire for survival is stronger than the desire for individual wealth, name and fame. In the past survival was dependent upon one’s individual prowess to attain survival for oneself. In coming times, human beings are so interdependent, interconnected that the welfare of all is woven together. It is indivisible. This realization will grow in the minds of people. Those who try to win by their own assertion will soon find themselves isolated. The very structure of human spirit and human experience is weaving a worldwide web of intercommunication and interconnection in the intellectual sphere, but also in the hearts of human beings. The forces that try to grab for individual wealth or accumulate at the expense of many will weaken and their capacities diminish. It is a natural evolution; nothing can stop it.

As to what specific forces play this hand, there will be different circumstances, but I can say this much: The desire for survival is the strongest desire of all. It will dominate the species. Humans will realize that survival comes through unity and weaving together, through everyone working together. This evolution of the human mind and spirit is going on even now and with it the evolution of human society and the changing of the social cycle. The old institutions will modify, change. New structures are already arising in the world order, new operating modes. Information moves freely around the world in an instant. Communication has become very interconnected. People easily travel from one country to another. Even as some want to take advantage of this change for personal power and economic success, there are deeper forces at work and forces that will institute the change. The human spirit will not remain confined in materialism for long. The human spirit wants to break free. It wants to soar. It wants this unity. It will happen because the human spirit longs to return to the unity, the wholeness from which it came.

You can see that there are definite problems on the earth. Many species are dying. Changes are occurring in the mother earth and you can see that there are certain difficulties ahead. They are unavoidable. Even so, you should never be downhearted by turbulent winds of change. You must know it is necessary that the old ways die away and new unity be established in human life, in the living being of this planet. The mother earth is alive and you are but the furthest extension of her evolution. You are her progeny. She watches all with great interest and has her way to correct the course of evolution. Evolution is occurring as it must occur. A child moves from one stage to another, sometimes gangly and awkward. Sometimes these changes are not easy but they bring new potentials. So it is with the evolving human beings as well.

Q. Baba, it seems that worldwide there are problems with population and healthcare and lack of resources.

A. There is a cure. When human beings learn to cooperate with each other to moderate their population, to live in harmony with all life, and to be sensitive to the welfare of all, then surely these problems will fade away. With proper medical care around the world, with proper planning of populations, with proper distribution of resources, with proper education, surely most of these things will resolve. But the resources do not now go in this way. The population is high and so many in human society are not sufficiently cared for. In these times of transition in human history, it is important for those who have some spiritual understandings to have great compassion for all beings, to unite with each other forming networks of spiritual support to bring dharma to this world. These things will help to ease these times of transition. You have each other. The network of people who want to grow in spirit and want the welfare of all beings is growing larger and larger, a network that is beginning to weave together all around the world. Around the globe, the forces of light are growing strong and united and this unity will continue to grow. You will see it more and more until the light will be so bright the shadows will be not be able to exist.
