Current Changes of Historical Magnitude for Our Planet and Humanity

The topic today is the transformation of the planet at this time in human history. Certain changes are coming that have been in process for some time. Many people are speculating regarding the differences and potential difficulties of the future. I am sure that you are aware of these and realize that there may be significant changes in the near future with impact upon many, many people. It is significant not only that these changes are occurring but also that we understand the context for this type of change, to know why it is occurring and to understand what is moving so we can bring it into perspective.

In the evolution of living beings, if one assumes that the base of all existence is consciousness not matter and that matter is condensation of consciousness into the particle universe, then the realization comes that consciousness is set in motion by the operative principles of the universe. They move and form consciousness into manifestation. There are principles that draw manifestation from the subtlety of pure consciousness to the density of consciousness, bound and condensed to the point of particle existence. Then consciousness appears as if it has not self-awareness but it is merely very bound.

In the binding of consciousness by the operative principles of the universe, there is naturally the force that wants to break free of this binding and return to its original condition, its natural condition that is unbound, free, aware being.

In this process, life develops that entails individual existence. From that individuality comes a movement towards the sublime. In the process of evolution, consciousness condenses into vibrant existence. There is the formation of different macrocosmic entities. From them comes the evolution from the crude to the subtle. In that evolution is the development of planetary existence. There is the movement from the seemingly inert planetary force through the evolutionary flow to different forms of life that become more and more intelligent, more and more self-aware, more and more conscious.

In that evolutionary flow from particle existence to the sublime undifferentiated self-aware being where consciousness is not bound by these operative principles, there is ever a loosening of this binding. In the life force, consciousness becomes less bound but it is still associated with matter.

Within this planet, the evolution that started with physical evolution has come to a stage of social and psychic evolution. Consciousness moving from the material to the subtle has reached a certain stage of existence where there is a need growing out of the natural pull, the introversial pull from bound to the natural unbound state of consciousness ‑ this introversial pull brings consciousness to the state of continual struggle against these bindings, ever loosening the bindings.

In the evolution of the planet there has come a time when consciousness bound in individuality to matter is moving to a different stage, a different level, an integration in wholeness that requires a fundamental shift. No longer can humans attach to the smaller identities of clan and family, tribe and nation to the exclusion of other beings. No longer can the individual associated with the body, the consciousness associated with the bodymind, be above the collective.

There is a movement in human society, a joining in wholeness. There is, even in development of technologies for travel and for information-sharing a movement of mind and of consciousness to bring more and more unity, more and more proximity. No longer can people isolate themselves in one small part of the world and think that they have nothing to do with anyone else. There is more and more realization that everyone is a part of a whole, that all beings are a part of a whole.

This realization is not complete. In many cases, there is a lack of understanding that all beings are a part of this whole and that the whole includes the planet itself. It is from the planet that this evolution spins forward, ever evolving and moving. In evolution, change becomes essential and change is not always easy. Human beings are moving from the stage of absorption in the individual associated with bodymind structure to a primary association with the collective, the integration of the whole.

Today crude technologies bring information and movement of mind into what is forming a collective mind, a collective body of knowledge that moves and develops. As it moves and develops, it brings living beings forward into greater and greater awareness. Knowledge that took half a million years to come to fruition now takes only a little time. That time will grow less and less as the collective knowledge grows in magnitude. Then what must happen? The collective knowledge cannot remain on a computer.

Living beings, the minds of living beings grow closer, the unity of heart and mind, the unity of knowledge grows stronger. In that process, the minds of human beings weave together. Change occurs. Evolution continues and the aspects that become outdated must fall away. The living beings become more and more united in a great body of knowledge, a collective intellect, a collective awareness, a collective body of knowledge that grows in magnitude. It becomes the collectivity of human knowledge. Human mind becomes stronger. It becomes more and more a collective rather than individual development. Though this takes form in crude technologies, this will change. It will become more and more expressed in subtle ways, in the expansion of collective mind. In this process is the shifting and changing of relationships.

Once feudalism absorbed the minds of people and was expansive. In today’s world, such a system could not work because it is too small a grouping. When nationalism developed that seemed to encompass human beings into very large groupings for a time. In today’s world of the sharing of travel and information, nationalism is outdated. It cannot contain human society that is, in fact, global. Now the political systems are outdated. Already human evolution has outgrown them but they have not as yet changed. Still human beings go on evolving and the grouping now is global. It is global.

Who is there to bring this into any type of focus? There is a deeper movement than political systems. It is evolutionary, the evolution of the human spirit toward the collectivity of mind and the integration of collective knowledge. In this comes an expansion, a freeing of boundaries. These changes do not always come easily. The human race is in a delicate period of evolutionary shift in which it turns to crude technologies and technologies that are dangerous for the old mentality of polarization and individuality to handle. There is a shift going on. There are different paradigms at work when the power of creativity to develop and to manifest technologies appears to have outstripped evolution or individualities. Some movements appear destructive because this defense of "I" and "mine," this type of limited mentality wields power that is unsuitable for it. In the short run this is destroying many things and creating impossible and unsustainable situations upon the planet, isn’t it? However, this is only temporary.

It is like teenage years, like puberty. Human evolution is in the puberty stage. At that stage, everything goes a little crazy because one part is very mature, the voice is very deep and another part is less mature; the voice is very high, right? Many things happen and there is a mish-mash because evolution is going on. Likewise, in this stage of human development, evolution is going on. It is a type of back and forth and awkwardness in development, an awkward stage of development. People comment that many species are being lost and that is true. However, to see the planet as a whole is to see that the consciousness that is in human beings and in the species that are being lost and in the earth itself are not separate. It is one evolution. Evolutionary forces are shifting and they are shifting dramatically. As they shift, forms change.

The consciousness of the earth itself is moving in the forms of its beings that have shifted. The forms that you take are from this earth. These material forms are from this earth. They are a part of this earth. The forms of all the living creatures are a part, animals and plants, are a part of this earth. They are a part, formed of it. They are its evolution. You are its evolution as physical beings.

As intelligence grows in magnitude, as conscious aware intelligence is free from the bounds of matter and grows in magnitude, it moves to a different stratum. In the coming times, there is less attachment to individuality of form and more attachment to collectivity of being and knowledge. This is evolution from matter to consciousness. Evolution is collective. Mind grows in magnitude. Evolution is not merely physical leading to a different type of body. Evolution is mental, psychic. As the psychic evolution needs changes in the physical form, it will make those changes. As it needs to be bound to physical form, it will be bound. To the degree it does not need to be bound it will move beyond those bindings to create collective entities.

So now human evolution in this place and time is at the awkward stage. There are some temporary problems. Of course, the planet and all beings living on it are part of an integral whole. Naturally there is balancing and there are shifts and changes that occur in evolution. So, you see, mentality binding to some old ways will be forced to change. There is no choice. The planet is evolving. Mind grows in magnitude and the movement is towards collective knowledge, collective awareness, collective consciousness. There will not be dramatic shifts that will put human beings back to living in a primitive way, losing association, technologies and interconnectedness. No, this is not where it goes. It goes rather to the formation of collective mind, collective awareness, collective knowledge, integrated wholeness. The planet grows smaller. The minds of living beings come together. This is what it is about. It will not stop. It will grow.

The technologies will become more subtle, more psychic. There will be a time when there will be no footprint upon the planet. Now the footprint is very great, very crude, but those problems will be solved. That is not to say change comes without struggle. If a baby is born in the world, there is struggle, is it not? It struggles to come in to the world. It struggles to take its breath. The history of evolution of our species and all beings is not devoid of struggle. So in this planetary shifting and changing there are bound to be some difficulties for individuals. Yet this is a very positive movement going forward and the results will be good.

To the extent that this evolution can be aided, to the extent that this movement can be enhanced, to that extent there will be less struggle, less difficulty. Naturally, that struggle can come in many forms from the doings of human beings to the responses of the physical environment. This evolution will go on successfully and it will settle down, just as a teenager going through puberty. They may have a little rough time for awhile but then they settle down. I think some people here have distinct questions and I would like to hear those questions.

Q. Are the changes being orchestrated by advanced beings in non-physical form?

A. There are beings who are helping but it is not being orchestrated by so-called advanced beings. This is the natural evolution of the planet. It is a natural process, going on naturally. Of course, there are those who are assisting. No evolution goes on without assistance particularly when there is severe difficulty and more assistance is needed.

Regarding physical and non-physical beings, in the evolutionary process, for example, an individual may evolve from their mind being completely absorbed in material desires and senses to more subtle development into more and more enhanced self-awareness, consciousness and awareness. Likewise, if one takes a planet as an individual, the planet grows in magnitude and awareness and all beings of that planet. The evolution of that planet goes more to individuals and then finally the collective mind evolves as if the planet is an individual, evolving much as a unit being.

The planet evolves as an individual. First it forms these small rudimentary minds and then it forms collective mind. The mind is attached to the development from which it has evolved. If it grows in magnitude and knowledge, it may even move away from the collective planetary body and become a kind of subtle cosmic being becoming a non-physical being of great knowledge, great capacity, great awareness. This means that the being has come to a point where the need to sustain through association with the material universe has been broken, is no longer needed.

There are beings who are of non-material existence. Some are of groupings, some are more individual. As mind has grown in magnitude, evolution of conscious awareness has gone to this stage where physicality is not required. When knowledge dawns and grows in magnitude, mind becomes closer and closer to cosmic mind in the evolution of all.

The yogis say that all of creation is formed by the operative or creative principle within the consciousness or within being. They say first of all it forms mind, cosmic mind, and that all creation exists within this mind. Even the so-called material universe is simply condensed mind, mental material, all formed of mind. To the individual it appears to be material but to the cosmic mind. it is all mental, the universe is a mental universe. If one understands that it is a mental universe to begin with, then one understands that mind can operate in many different strata. The greater the evolution of mind towards consciousness, the more the qualities and characteristics of the cosmic entity dominate.

There is only one intention in that cosmic being and that is the intention to bring all beings unto itself, to bring all through evolution to merge back into the whole. In that, there is what to living beings appears to be compassion. Thus, when mind grows in magnitude, this compassion also grows in magnitude. The closer to the inner source mind becomes, the more it becomes dominated by certain principle of operation. Accordingly, it is only when mind grows cruder than it can move out of that cosmic harmony into a type of disharmony and destructiveness.

Those more subtle beings whose evolution is very significant will always be very, very beneficial. Those who are of a lesser evolutionary expression may have more ego-centered, race-centered, or species-centered intentions and motivations. When mind grows in magnitude, that falls away. So there becomes in that way, I would not say a hierarchy, but a difference in approach and in how much that approach is an expression of the harmony of the principles of existence and is compassionate and beneficial to all life as opposed to destructive.

Q. Our human experiences of relationship are extremely historically distorted by many kinds of past wounds in humanity and authoritative or authoritarian systems and our understanding of human sexuality and relationship are distorted by systems such as patriarchy and Puritanism of many kinds. I wonder if you can speak about how we can re-evolve our sense of relationship and human sexuality to create a culture that would thrive in that kind of an environment?

A. Human beings are a little uncomfortable. They know too much now. You cannot hide the way you could in your ignorance because culture is coming together and people are learning the different ways and out of this very good things will occur. Very good. In two-hundred years what will it be with culture coming together as it is? There need not be the suppression or the extinction of heritage but at the same time, the development of a collectivity of knowledge makes a change in everyone. It makes a change and so social systems, relationships change and shift.

It is a time also with the rise of the mother. It is a time for the rise of the feminine because the qualities of the archetype of the masculine bringing territorialism, defense and protectionism. These are shifting and the nurturance of the mother must come into this planet to care for and to nurture living beings.

There is the starting of the integration of these two archetypes to form a whole and that naturally changes the relationship of men and women. It changes the relationship of many things. It brings a balance to the society where nurturance, survival, and things that the mother wants for the children, those types of energies are becoming more prominent in the society. As these shifts occur, the ways people live will change, will have to change.

The lifestyle in the West today where each person has a large house with so many empty bedrooms and they sit all alone and lonely with their television while others in the world go hungry and have nothing for shelter, this is disproportionate, is it not? This will change, has to change. Does all of this excess economic wealth bring people happiness? Are the people happy alone and growing old? It does not bring happiness. Naturally, everyone wants to have their own quietness, but also opportunity for collectivity. The society today has lost its balance and the social orders are not in balance. Not only has the extended family broken down in the West, but the nuclear family is not in good condition either. Who will take care of the aged? Who will take care of the children? Who will take care of the sick? Who feels safe with no one to take care of them in case they happen to come into one of these categories? Sooner or later most people are bound to get sick or old, especially old, and so what happens? Who will take care?

The social order is the collectivity of human care and it has broken down under the burden of materialism. I have spoken in the larger evolutionary flow, but in the social sphere, the society is out of order. It has lost its balance. Those norms that would hold and bind the human beings to each other and create the social fabric to support and sustain people have broken down causing very much personal suffering to many people. It will need to re-assert itself and it will do so but the binds of materialism have broken it. That is the source. If everyone needs to have a new television and a new washing machine and a new refrigerator ‑ if everyone lives together they might not need as many of these ‑ but if each one lives in a big house all by themselves they need more and more items. They become consumers. Though the people have relative material comfort, they are starving in their hearts. They are lonely and unhappy because there is the oppression of materialism. This materialism, one’s position in the society and one’s material wealth become more important than the family, more important than the friends, more important than the building of this collective structure. It has become the value. That will change and it will change of necessity. It is already changing and surely the lifestyle configurations that people develop will reflect that change.

In today’s immediate situation, many people are beginning to look into local economic autonomy and local community, how to build community, how to sustain community, how to bring each other together collectively. These are very, very good movements and they will continue to grow. In fact, they will become prominent movements in the very near future. With this type of movement that is natural for the human spirit, there is a fundamental recognition that human needs are not being met. In a balanced society, the society is there to meet human needs, the needs of the human heart, the fundamental needs of human beings. People need security and safety. They need to have society in which they can feel that they know their place. Right now many things are in shift and change. All systems of individual acquisition and material wealth are breaking down under the burden of their own inability to meet human needs and the human heart will break free of those oppressive bindings. So there is social upheaval at this time as cultures collide and as the oppression of the era of the dominance of the merchant class, called vaeshyan era, and of material wealth breaks down and seems not to meet the human needs. All right?

Q. Yes, thank you for your thoughts and insights. As an anthropologist, I have studied the rise and fall of ancient civilizations. I’ll just make a brief comment before I ask my question. Modern human beings have been around for roughly 200,000 years and it was only 5,500 years ago that the first city states developed in Mesopotamia and then technological and sociopolitical changes have become very quick and pronounced since then especially in the last few hundred years. As a result, we are practicing unsustainable economic systems and the political systems are strained too. We have very high population levels. We are at six billion people right now and it is estimated in the next twenty years we will get to nine billion. We have already exceeded the carrying capacity of the planet. I guess my question is as our consciousness evolves is it possible that the human species could greatly diminish in numbers or actually become extinct yet our human consciousness continues to evolve into the different realms. I was trying to think of the paradigm that we are facing as the so-called dominant species on this planet. Could you just briefly talk about that, where we will see how humans will evolve in the next, say ten to fifty years, and our place in that?

A. Yes. Naturally you have made a point which is a good point. How many times can the population double and be sustained by this planet? The human population is in excess and will not go on being in excess. These things have a way of balancing themselves. But you have asked a deeper question, can the human beings go on evolving without the physical development or will there be a new life form or will that life form develop in other strata?

Many souls will be lost. But no soul is lost. No soul is lost. The physical forms will diminish in number but those beings will find expression. Human mind grows in magnitude. This will not change. Though perhaps the numbers on this planet will greatly decrease, the essence of human evolution and development will not be lost. It will not be a crumbling to start again but a refining into evolution.

Are souls ready for this entire collectivity? It is not at that stage. That is a stage yet to come. But evolution speeds up ‑.it is geometrical. So it is not so distant but it is not now. Now is a stage, if one were to compare, it is like puberty now, the stage entering adulthood. I am giving this analogy so it is understandable. The stage now is not near adulthood. It is a stage of puberty, a stage of turmoil, but coming into a more mature stage. So it is not a disassociation from physicality. That remains at this stage.

The evolution of the planet has to be brought into normalization. There is a bit of awkwardness in the situation. There is excess. If one thinks of the whole, all the thrust has gone to the front, to the development of the human species. Now the refinement is there. The human beings moved into the city states. From that developed the collective, to the nations, to the planetary flow, and the recognition will come of psychic evolution and technology will become more psychic. More not in physical form, or what is physical will be sustained mentally. It will not be so crude. It will not be the footprint that now is. People will remain associated with form though their numbers will be balanced and the footprint on the planet will be very light.

A great lesson will be learned and it will be really good. The footprint will be light. A time will come when the people live among the great trees and their cities do not leave traces. They are not less evolved, they are not less technological. They are more technological, more evolved. But their footprint is very light. They are not the cities that cut down the trees and build an environment for human beings. They live in a kind of movement, a sustainable life with the planet in harmony. That harmony will be learned, is being learned now by the understanding of disharmony which brings the intention of harmony and that intention will create it. You see? Does that answer your question? Are there more?

Q. I was wondering if you could talk a little bit about the role of the arts as a tool in the evolution of human consciousness?

A. It is said in yogic philosophy that each and every human being is like a pond in which the one moon is reflected. The moon, the potentials of the cosmic mind, is reflected in each and every pond until finally the ponds merge together in a lake and form one whole reflection. But each pond is a reflection and so it reflects the cosmic mind and the nature of the cosmic mind is creative. This beautiful world is a painting, a lovely work of art in the cosmic mind. Each and every beautiful being is a work of art created in the cosmic mind. Every tree that grows, every scent, every flower that blooms, is a creative work of art. Human beings are as mirrors, like the moon that reflects in the pond, so that creativity reflects in human beings. What will you do with that capacity? Will you create beauty? Will you create love?

Art has many forms. To make a garden is to do art. To paint a garden is to do art. To sculpt a flower is to do art. Creativity is inherent in the human mind. If there were no creativity, there would be no capacity to find solutions to problems. There would be no capacity to dream new beginnings and futures. In a sense, one may say, it is all art, isn’t it? If a human being can make something beautiful, something to inspire the hearts of others, is that not a beautiful gift of that creativity to the world?

In the heart of the artist is the dance of this creative art. This cosmos is a play of creativity woven by the great weaver of eternity into manifestation in all the hues and colors of existence. Weave as that weaver has woven the tapestry of life so the weaver sits at the loom and weaves beautiful tapestries.

Q. Is the purification of the human heart and the human mind a conscious, natural evolutionary process and is that a conscious intent and how did you purify your heart and your mind? Does that make sense what I am asking?

A. Yes. Your primary question is whether it is a conscious intention or is naturally occurring. The answer, I would say is that both are there. In the process of evolution, sooner or later all things return to their source. All that is bound becomes unbound. In the halls of eternity, this may take a little while or a very long while. In that process there comes a stage in the evolution of being where the realization dawns, "I know that I exist; I recognize that I have choices." Prior to that stage, this sentiment is not there but the time comes when the living being says, "I know I exist. I know I have choices. I can choose this or that." For a long time, the human being may choose to grab things of the senses and then realizing again and again it comes to the same difficulty. Sooner or later, the living being will figure out that those choices aren’t really working. They will look deeper into themselves with more insight, with more discrimination, with more intelligence. They will come to realize, "All I want is to have a pure heart, to have deep love, and to have the unity of being which is at the source of it." At that stage, the intention is set, and that intention is a result of the deep internal yearning that sets in motion a different flow. The stronger the intention, the stronger the yearning, the faster and more intensely that transformation occurs.

I do not identify with a bodymind at this stage. All beings evolve and change and grow. There is only the self, the one unbroken whole, the one infinite being. There comes a time for all beings when the recognition comes that there is nothing else. It is a dream within the mind of the cosmic dreamer, a play in the mind, a creative expression, a dance of love.

Q. My question is about how we will grow towards a more feminine understanding and bring that out into society more and is there a need to look to a sort of higher sort of idea of feminine or is it something we are going to find within ourselves or in our own personal practices?

A. Very good question. All things appear when the time is right. The archetype of the mother dominated the human society in ages past. In that time, matriarchy dominated because in that time the mother was of great value, the one who could nurture and bring the children to life. The more people in the clan, the greater numbers, the better for survival. The archetype of the mother, the one who could nurture, who could bring the others to survival, It was the survival that was of importance and the nurturance to bring the children was dominant. So in matriarchy, the clan mothers, the great women became the goddesses, over time. First they were the great ancestors who would bless the clan. Then they eventually became goddesses. It evolved because in those days there was a need. The need was to survive. To bring forth life and to increase the fold. Then, as the human population grew, the need became one to protect one’s fold, one’s clan, one’s tribe, one’s city, from the others. As the need for protection, to encircle this protection, became stronger, the archetype of patriarchy became more dominant. In each case, stirred by collective need of evolution, isn’t it?

Now is a shift and a change. There is not the need to go back to matriarchy to have an increase in the numbers of healthy children. There is not the need to have a defense where everyone is trying to protect against someone else. Neither of those are the need today. What is the need today, can anyone say?

Q. Balance?

A. Balance. What does that mean?

Q. Harmony. Bringing gifts of each to work together, strengths of each together, alignment.

A. Yes. Yes. So it is a different need that the collective needs today. It is for neither the matriarchy or the patriarchy. Patriarchy slips away and it appears that the feminine rises. But it rises only to balance because there is a need for the nurturance that puts survival over dominance, isn’t it? That is the archetype of the feminine, the survival, the mother will want the children to survive first and foremost. She will do anything to sustain survival. So that must come more to the front but yet not to the point of increasing to populations, you see? So it is the balance of these two, the survival combined with this dynamic strength.

In this balance, society will again come to balance and then the collective development of culture will become more supportive of human needs and human evolution. Realistically speaking, without this rise of the feminine, the entire collapse would happen, but that rise is already well on its way. A shift occurs and that shift will bring a sustainable human society. This is not to say there will not be difficulties in these changes. I am not saying it will be easy but that it is a positive evolutionary movement. All right?

Q. You talked about evolution. expansion of the magnitude of mind, and that mind’s expression needs to have kind of correlated physical structures that are appropriate. Does this not mean there will also occur evolution in our physical form with this shift in mental expression?

A. Eventually, yes, but the present form has great potential, unused potential. Within the development the changes needed now are subtle. They are inherent in the human development right now with only slight change. Not a physical looking different, big head, and …

Q. What kind of slight change?

A. Change in the restructuring of brain function. It is already occurring. People today are more intelligent than people two-hundred and three-hundred years ago. In general, people are more intelligent and they are becoming more intelligent. Areas of the brain impact will come to the front as need arises. This type of evolution is naturally occurring here and now. It will not take centuries and centuries so that the intuitional faculties of people that have been dormant because they are suppressed by culture will grow in magnitude.

Q. Does meditation have a factor in that?

A. Yes. Yes, most definitely but also evolution and also the pull of circumstance.

Q. Are there magnetic or planetary magnetic forces that might shift that would also enhance that process?

A. That is correct. That is correct. Much of this has to do with magnetic fields.

Q. Seems like in today’s age there is a tendency for people to lose their individuality in favor of the collective idea. I was wondering what your thoughts are about how today we can affirm the individual and affirm the uniqueness of every individual and their value within the collective and what that means, the inherent meaning of it.

A. You know, in the West today, there is a great deal of emphasis on individualism but still that individualism does not necessarily support the appreciation of the individual. It is so much about the individual, the culture is very individualistic-oriented. However, if one grows a garden, how beautiful a bed of flowers, can one say that because one flower is in the bed it has lost its individuality and is less beautiful? No. Each one is beautiful and together their beauty is stunning. So it is that individual has appreciation but also has appreciation within the whole. In the times to come, there will be less seeking of this identity with individualism and more seeking and more fulfillment in the whole. You see, the way of the past has been that the individual finds fulfillment in their own individual growth, their own individual acquisition, so much money, so nice of a house, such a family. They have been so successful like this, and then the more successful is the more dominant. This usually is the male, the dominant male, isn’t’ it? So this is the way of the past. Dominance, territory, and individual acquisition have come to a place that they are not helping the world today.

In a future society, can you imagine that the sense of fulfillment for the individual person comes not in this acquisition but in the sense of service and being a part of a whole? A great fulfillment comes in being a part of something, part of a whole, and the pride and those sentiments that have been applied to one’s individual development become to the whole development. I am very proud not because I am very important, but because I am a part of the whole. The whole and the individual become one identity. You see? It is a different mentality that you have grown with in this society. It will shift in that direction.

Q. Are you asking though about individuals who sublimate themselves into mass movements and lose a sense of individuality as a result of that?

Q. Partly. I guess my question was more geared toward how the realization of one’s inner self which has a unique character needs a sense of oneness and unity and so affirming the individual and the inner experience of each one, affirming the truth of one’s inner self, not necessarily, like an ego.

A. Yes. Yes, and that inner self more bound and held in the whole, with more identity with wholeness of being rather than with individuality becomes more fulfilled not less, more expressive, not less. You see?

Q. In my upbringing I was taught to present certain kinds of attitudes, certain qualities, and I think this is at the expense, often at the expense of more genuine expression. I know I am not the only one of my generation and maybe other generations too, finding that recovering a sense of genuine feelings has helped me to identify my own needs, unique needs, sometimes they are not so unique. You know, I need certain things to be fully and contribute to the community, that’s my sense of it, and along the way on this path of evolution that I am on, and I think others might be on as well, I have been offered lots of help and I feel very grateful and a lot of that help has been just amazing. Sometimes I am offered help that is counterproductive and it has taken me awhile to figure that out. I am curious about, I am hoping to, maybe you have suggestions about taking a stance towards help, those receiving it and giving it, not just with other humans but with these entities that you’ve indicated are available to help us. It seems that there are humans on this planet and people tend to be from other places that have a lot of power. I could easily give up my power, or, let’s say, yes I am just very much engaged in the question of power, the right use of power. If you could speak to that I would appreciate it.

A. Yes. It is a very good point, a very good point. As long as there is identity with the bodymind, there is "I" and "Thou." In that duality there is the notion of higher and lower and out of this comes dominance and submission. In the core of human experience as it comes closer and closer to the core, these become irrelevant. In the core, love unconditional is the flow, is the way, and there is no inferior, no superior, no higher, and no lower for the self is one unconditional whole> There is no one inferior and no one superior and so the question of power does not arise. The more one comes close to one’s core the question of power becomes irrelevant. The question of unconditional love, the wave of unconditional love, dominates all. Then all sense of inferiority or superiority falls away. There is no one who can dominate. There is no one to be dominated. As mind moves out from this inner core, the sense of individuality grows in magnitude. With this comes a fundamental sense of inferiority because as an individual one becomes aware that one is rather small compared to the cosmos.

As a result, living beings try to puff themselves up to be bigger, like a blowfish, because why? "Well, I am going to be bigger," because they think they are small. Relative to the cosmos the individual is quite tiny. So feeling small, it wants to be bigger and trying to be bigger naturally if it can dominate someone else then it feels even bigger, isn’t it? But all of that is based in ignorance. It is based in ignorance. All of the activity of that realm is based in a fundamental flawed ignorance. So if there are, if it is your supervisor at work, or an entity from some other dimension, it doesn’t matter. It is the same situation. Dominance and submission come when love is relinquished. The closer one remains to the heart, the closer one establishes oneself in the integrated whole of being, and in the wave of compassion and love, dominance and submission cease to be issues. Who can dominate the whole? Who? What can dominate unconditioned love? Who can dominate? No one! Isn’t’ it? There is no one to dominate! Let your love grow in magnitude and these become irrelevant. You need never fear it. All right?

Q. I am not sure if you want to answer this question but if we could just go forward to about 2012, there was a survey done about the magnetic shift and the results of the survey I question myself because it did not exactly give the parameters about how they came to the conclusion but the conclusion was that when we do have the shift we are going to get thousand-mile-hour winds …

A. What was the, what is the shift they are saying in this?

Q. Magnetic shift

A. And the magnetic shift will occur around 2012 and what is this survey? What is the basis of this?

Q. It was a geologic survey done by the United States but they didn’t give the parameters of how they figured it out. I mean, I doubt if they used the Milky Way Galaxy in their parameters, so I don’t think there will be thousand-mile-hour winds but I just wondered if there was any kind of comment you would have on that?

A. And what was their conclusion? There would be magnetic shift causing large winds?

Q. Yes

A. There may be severe destruction, in some places more than in others. These things could happen. The human population could grow less. As to whether there would be winds or not, I think that is for scientists to figure out. But in evolution when something is imbalanced then other forces come to change it and put it in balance but you should not fear these things.

There are many ominous reports of the world today. That can create fear in the mind. If one looks at pollution, at climate changes, global warming, potential ice ages, magnetic shifts, extinctions of species, many things are occurring, destruction of the oxygen-producing plants of the world, one sees there are a few problems. Seeing there are a few problems, one can become very nervous and one may think, "Something very difficult may happen," and when one thinks of these things then it brings fear in the mind. Every living being loves their life. Every one wants to survive. It is the nature of the body to want to live and to fear death. This is the fundamental characteristic of a human body, or of any animal, or plant. All living beings love their life and none of them want to die. So naturally when one talks about cosmic changes, whether an asteroid hitting a planet, when it is happening someplace else well we can talk about it, stars exploding and so on it is quite all right, or wars that happen in other countries, but when it strikes near to home it becomes frightening because it triggers this fundamental survival instinct.

What to do when there are such dire predictions? One can see that there is a problem. We can’t possibly go on increasing the number of human beings on the planet forever. It won’t work. One begins to see there are some problems and things aren’t in balance. It doesn’t take any psychic to see these things, it is fairly obvious now. But what to do? How to relate to this? You have brought the key point. Should there be fear in the mind. Should one build a shelter or move to the right part of the planet where people say it is going to be okay. Or stockpile grains?

These changes are too vast for those measures. If you want to do something, gather your communities, know your neighbors, love the people around you, love yourself, meditate, find the deep well in that central place of your being that is made of love and compassion and cannot be destroyed, that is fearless because it is eternal and immortal. Bring your love into the world and it will heal many things. You are all part of one integral whole, never to be lost. You are all part of the whole, in nature eternal.
