The discourses described in this
section are relevant to day to day living and social concerns. You may say
they are writings which give a practical application of spiritual
principles both for the individual and for the society. Now these writings
are of three types. The first type consist of
practical applications of spiritual philosophy in daily life. If a human
being is to touch and express divinity they must come to terms with how
they live and what they do. Does it promote spiritual life? These
discourses give some guidelines and practical suggestion on how to bring
one's expression in the world into a spiritual realm so that one's
humanity may come in contact with Divinity. The second category of writings deals with the
do's and don'ts of a Yogic life. This will explain what type of actions
promote spiritual awareness and what actions diminish awareness. It will
delve into the tenants of Yama and Niyama and their practical applications
as well as new humanism. The third category of writings relates to the promotion of spiritual tenants in the social arena. It gives practical ideas on how to make society at large a conducive environment for human development through the implementation of spiritually based ideals. |
