Progressive Tendencies in Capitalism

September 16, 1995

Q: What particular tendencies are being expressed by progressive capitalists that represent movement toward Prout?

This is a very important question. There are five tendencies which make some of the progressive capitalists most receptive to proutist philosophy.

First of all, there is concern that there be equitable distribution of wealth.

Secondly, there is concern for the environment - that it be sustained.

Thirdly, there is interest in innovative and progressive solutions to current dilemmas.

Fourthly, there is care for the human beings, that they not be exploited and used to make a profit, but that business be something that helps human being, that is a service to human beings. This is a very noble attitude and very much in line with Prout.

And lastly, these men and women who are heading this progressive movement within capitalism are open minded. They are searching for practical solutions to current dilemmas. They want to find answers. They are willing to work to build a new society. They are willing to put their all behind this if they can but find a direction which, to their very practical minds, they see has potential. They want that humanity should survive and that a new approach be taken which sustains humanity and sustains the environment. There is ecological consciousness and political awareness, and the service to humanity in business is an important point. So you see, these idealists are ripe for Prout. Enlist them.

You have a gift which has been given to you, but it is not yours to possess. It is for you to give to others so that they may have the tools to do what their hearts' desire. This is your duty to suffering humanity.
