Varna and Establishing Prout

November 13, 1994

Q: Will ks'attriyan societies or will vipra societies provide more conducive conditions for the introduction of Prout, or is the establishment of Prout not be dependent on which varna is dominant?

The establishment of Prout may be done under any varna, but it will look different in different varnas. In ks'attriya society, there must be a warring spirit, a sense of honor, and a noble cause to rally the ks'attryas. In a vipra society, there must be law and logic. In a ks'attriya society, the approach will be to gather authority and military strength to establish an enlightened era. In a vipra society, the emphasis will be to develop a spiritual democracy.

But, you know, in this day and age, it is the vipra society which is most conducive to Proutist practice. The ks'attriya society often has strong vipran elements blossoming within its sphere, and so those vipran elements may be mobilized and the society can be quickly moved by a universalist approach toward a vipra society. At this time this can be done, because that is the flow.

As I have said, there will come about more similarity in varna in the near future. So, for best results, a vipra society should be the approach, but ks'attriya also can be done. But in ks'attriya society, the values of the ks'attriya must be recognized and appealed to.
