Determining Sadvipras
June 29, 1995
Q: Will sadvipras become a formally identified rank or status? If so, how will it be determined as to who is to be accorded this status?
As I have said, it will be those people who will be most
noted for their humanitarian values, for their harmony with all of
life, and for their neo-humanism - for their maintenance of the
balance within all spheres of life and for their spiritual wisdom.
Those leaders will arise spontaneously. They exist even today, but
no value is given to such people. People put into power those who
reflect their values. So value is not given to these people and
they are not brought forward. But, in the future, such people will
be highly valued and they will be brought forward. There will be
no class, no social status that one is born to, but it will be
simply those outstanding individuals who have surpassed all in
their expression of the common values - that is, the value for all
life, the value for the maintenance of harmony and the environment
and of living beings. War will be a thing of the past in such a
society, and they will value the communion with Parama Purus'a.
These things will become of great value, and those people who are
great in these ways will get high status because there will be a
desire for their knowledge, for their vision, and for their
leadership. The people will search about for who reflects the most
noble values, and they will find those people. Those are the people who will be identified as sadvipras, not because there is a
separate class, but because their qualities are apparent - their
integration is apparent and they are the finest reflection of
the values of the society.
