Neo-humanism and Microvita
Feb. 4, 1996
Today I wish to speak upon the topic of microvita and neo-humanism.
You know, in neo-humanism or new humanism, the approach to living beings is that all are significant, all are important in the vast web of life.
There is no one or nothing that can be said to be insignificant. All are significant. None are insignificant. This is the approach of new humanism. In new humanism, every molecule of this manifest universe is a part and parcel of the macrocosmic subjectivity. That is to say, it lies within the cosmic mind and it is nothing but the cosmic expression modified and individualized. So every molecule of this manifest universe is a part and parcel of the cosmic entity and so all is divine, there is nothing and there is no one who is insignificant. All is a part and parcel of the web of divine expression. So that being the case, what life can be disrespected, all must be respected, both animate and inanimate because everything is composed of the supreme progenitor modified and individualized in expression but in essence a manifestation of the divine. So reverence and respect must be there for all creatures and even inanimate objects. This is neo-humanism. It means that not only must there be compassion and reverence for human beings but for all beings. All objects, both animate and inanimate must be seen as the projections of the cosmic progenitor. They must be valued for what they are. So in this way, all life must be given reverence. Thus, in neo-humanism, the approach that is taken is to say that all life is vital, it is to be revered. Not only the important people but the unimportant people as well and not only the unimportant people but the creatures of this world are also to be revered. And not only the creatures of this world but also the plants are to be revered and even the rocks. All must be revered as expressions of divinity. If this is done, one will have great compassion in all actions and thoughts. And
one will not treat any creature in an ill fashioned way so that the stream of life gains respect and is properly cared for; not abused, ignored or diminished in any form it takes. With this attitude, a person will come to know divinity in a short while because this attitude brings awareness of the divine nature of all creatures.
When one thinks in this way as a neo-humanist, one begins to see the whole of the world, the whole of the universe as the projection of the divine entity and one comes to realize one's existence lies in his very psychic expression and that it is impossible to be apart from him. When this realization comes to human beings and they see all around them the expression of Parama Purus'a, they feel much blessedness and love and the desire to serve all beings comes in the mind. So you see, this neo-humanism is a part and parcel of the path of blessedness. When the world adopts this approach, then there will be no oppression of differing groups of people. There will be no oppression of the living beings, the creatures of the forest, or of the air or of the water. All will be respected for what and whom they are and treated with great reverence. If the life of a creature must be taken, it will be done with great honor for that being and with great compassion and understanding for the pain that is caused that being.
Now, if one is a neo-humanism, one gains a certain ability. That ability is to be able to discern truth and reality from illusions and with this comes the capacity to nurture living beings. And how are they
nurtured? They are nurtured through the emanations of microvita which are produced in the mind when the mind is concentrated on Parama Purus'a. So these microvita may help the living beings. They are the thoughts of compassion, of love, of caring for living beings. These thoughts, these ideas are the very expression of subtle microvita in the human mind and as they are thought more and more, the microvita increases. The affinity for living beings becomes stronger and such a person who takes such an attitude of love for all living beings, will find that they have a special ability to hear all creatures great and small by their words, by their smiles, by their thoughts because their mind is wrapped in ideas of compassion and love and kindness to all beings. And this wrapping of the mind in these thoughts all the time, produces emanations of positive microvita in the mind. The mind becomes very charged with the positive life force and if that person touches someone, a simple creature, speaks to that creature, even smiles at that creature, the creature will feel the emanation of positive microvita. It is built in the mind like a charge when the mind stays so compassionately, so kindly fixed throughout the day and night, day after day. So for a true neo-humanist, they gain a great ability in their capacity to love and this ability comes to be a great boon to all living beings. So if one would follow the path of neo-humanism, one must have reverence and respect for all life and keep the mind ever ideating upon the greatness of all beings. Thus the mind will become pure, love will permeate, and you will become a vehicle for divine expression. Microvitum will become very charged in the mind and will emanate to all.
So this is the path of the neo-humanist approach to life in this manifest universe. So if you must live in the world, be neo-humanist because as a neo-humanist you will surely find the path of blessedness. Now I wish to talk to one other topic that is unrelated to this discourse. I wish to speak about yama and niyama. It is important that all my children make every effort to follow these principles. They are given for your welfare and if you follow you will find great success in your spiritual life. So I would encourage you to follow yama and niyama as well as you are able. You will do this please. Thank-you very much. I am finished for today.
