Tonight I will speak upon the relationship between divine love, divine expression and human beings. You know, the Supreme entity has but one intent, one objective in mind and that intent, that objective is to bring each and every living being back to Him, to enfold each and every living being in His divine awareness, in the divine love which is the origin of their existence. So His intent is to bring every living being to this point and He acts solely to this end. He has no other agendas, no hidden agendas, no ulterior motives, He has only one objective, one task which He sets for Himself and that is to bring all living beings back to Him, back to Him. That is His speciality. So there are those who would say that He is single pointed and in fact, that is the case, because His desire is one and one only. But at the same time in order to fulfill this desire, He must survey His entire creation, He must be omnipresent and He must have the capacity to work with each and every human being. And so no only must He be omnipresent, but omnipotent as well, so that He may work with each and every being in this created universe simultaneously. Were He not omnipresent, He would not be with each and everyone and if He were not with someone, they would cease to exist, because there would be no witness to their existence. So He is with each and every being of this created universe, so He is omnipresent. And He is providing His love and affection to every single living being, so He is omnipotent. His guidance, His direction goes in all spheres, in all directions, there is nowhere you may look that that divine entity does not exist.
He is with you every moment of your day, twenty four hours a day He is with you, guiding you, caring for you, loving you, His shower of infinite grace is falling upon you day and night, night and day, only you must take the umbrella of ego so that you may feel sweet shower of love fall upon you. As long as you are holding the umbrella of ego above you, the sweet shower of this love is falling down but you are holding the umbrella, so it is falling to the side and you do not experience it directly. But should you take down this umbrella of ego, this "I" pride in my own existence, this pride that I am the doer of all actions, I am the source and the generator of all things. If this false pride is taken down, removed and you open yourself, you will find that there is a sweet shower of divine love falling upon you twenty four hours a day. All you need do is open yourself to that sweet flow of divine nectar by taking away this self-importance, this egocentric view point which says: I am the center of the world and I am different from all the other creatures of the world, I am different from everyone, I am alone, I am separate, I am apart, I may feel that I am greater than everyone or I may feel less than everyone, but I am apart, I am separate, this is purely vanity, it is egotism. For you are not separate from this creation, nor from its creator, nor are you as a little person the center of this vast universe. So put down this vanity, put down this egotism, allow yourself to experience His shower of divine love, allow yourself to experience your innate fundamental unity with all that exists, for your separation is a delusion. You have unfortunately come to believe is a reality. But it holds no truth, so forget it and embrace your unity with all that is. It is misunderstanding which is the cause of suffering.
Do you know the word sin? Sin
comes from delusion. To be sinful is to delude yourself, to live
in an illusion of what is real and what is not. This is a sinful
act, for it is an act based in illusion, for behind it is the
illusion that you are a separate, isolated individual. But this
separation which is the ultimate cause of your suffering is not
real. You exist in the wind, you exist in the cold and snow falling
from the sky, you exist in the pristine mountains, you exist in
the ocean, you exist in the vast cosmos and stars, planets, streams
of life that flow and come and go. You exist a million years before
and a million years to come. This body you now inhabit is a grain
of sand in a vast desert, a vast beach, a drop of water in a vast
ocean. It will exist for a moment in time and fade away, but you
are not that which fades, you are that which is eternal, which
has existed for all time and will exist in the far future, for
your separation from all is a complete and utter delusion. Take
down umbrella of ego, forgo the self-importance and become what
you truly are.
Are there any comments tonight?
You said that the illusion of separation
is the root cause of suffering and Buddhist say that desire is
the root cause of suffering. Are these the same or there is a
philosophical difference?
They are not the same, but they are connected. For you see, desire for material objects, material for temporal objects causes the suffering, because ultimately those objects are bound by time and space and they will ultimately disappear and you will be left disappointed and so that which you desire becomes the source of your suffering. So on the surface this is the cause of suffering, but there is a deeper cause to suffering, for not only is it the desires of the mind which attached to fleeting objects become the cause of agony, but it is the very nature of identification with the 'I' feeling that is the ultimate cause of suffering, for when there is identification with individuality, when there is this egotism which says; I am the doer, I am the thinker, I am a separate identity, that is the ultimate cause of suffering, because there is identification with individuality. When the eyes are open, when the illusion is taken from the mind and the eyes become open, one sees that in fact all of this individuality is utter illusion and all that was thought to be passing and changing are simple are ever moving colors of your mind, not you in sense of little identification with body and with individuality, but you in the larger sense, in the cosmological sense, in the sense of infinitude, so this identification with the cosmic mind, seeing that all of these changing, universe, including this body and mind, are nothing but the undulations, the multiple colors and movements within your mind. And you see if you are in this small body, this body is no more or no less you than any other body, for you are in all beings, you are in all things and when you realize your actual nature and the illusion is taken from your
eyes, the cause of bondage is ended.
So ultimately it is this identification with individuality which
is the cause of bondage and therefore the cause of suffering.
