. . . that which they have developed. For the selfish, ego-centric, greedy mentality that is a part of the end of the vaeshyan era, the capitalist era brings such type of human attitude.

Now there is a change occurring. But change is not always smooth, not always easy, and not always without difficulty. It may look very bleak at times, but the truth is, it is very bright, very bright. The future of the human species is very bright, very whole. It is a future in which human beings will develop an intricate relationship to each other and a sense of social responsibility. These things will be growing, and the human race will advance out of the immaturity that it now possesses. These transitions will take place within the next fifty years. You will find the world government and great social responsibility. But this is an awkward time, a transitionary time, when old ways that no longer fit, are no longer applicable become very awkward and obviously inappropriate.

There is one more thing I will say on this subject. Human beings today are not the same as one thousand years past. Their capacities have enhanced; their development is more complete. And human beings in the future will be even more developed. They will have capacities far beyond what presently exists. Humanity is evolving biologically, socially and spiritually. So a new human race is emerging within the very dust of its present existence. This new humanity will rise to the occasion and build a society based in love, with care for all living beings.

That is why I am giving the social philosophy - so that there will be the format, the ideas, the direction for such a society. Human beings are very adaptable. The need for their maturation will cause that maturation to occur. You should not worry, for the future of humanity is bright, though there may be some trials and tribulations as there always is with growth.

Q: There seems to be a big backlash against the United Nations and a concern that one combined government force will be something that can turn into a very repressive situation for the planet. Could you explain how one world government could be something that humanity could accept and trust without feeling that it could be repressive force?

This is a very good question. You see, the human beings will not accept, they will not accept unless they must accept. Necessity again becomes the teacher. There will come a time when there is no

alternative, in order to survive it will become necessary. There will be no choice in the matter. And human beings will accept, they will come to this.

Now there are so many capitalist interests, so many vested interests, so many multinational corporations. They want to own the whole world. They have so many plans of how they will grow larger and larger and encompass this market and that market, and they have so many products they must produce. So they cannot afford to think too much about the environment - they cannot afford this, they cannot afford that. But the capitalist ventures will not last very long, because their future is doomed. There will be an end to this exploitation. It will come through natural causes, and a time will come when in order to survive the human race must unite, must unite. And Prakrti will do what she must to bring this about. In that time necessity will demand, and with the collapse of the capitalist institutions, that necessity will bring about the need for the human beings to cling to each other, to aid each other, to create a world network which will form a substantial body for the survival of the human race.

Human beings are very adaptable and they are evolving. This is part and parcel of the evolution of the human race. Not that evolution is always clean and planetary; it becomes difficult at times. But the result is very good, and there will be one world government within fifty years. The capitalism will fall. The vaeshyan period is at an end. That is the capitalist period, the period of governing by those who have interest in the making of money. This period, the dominance of this period, is ending. The kali yuga is ending. The human race is evolving from one stage to another. It is at this very point in that transition period. Already it has been entered. And it is a very dynamic period, very good for spiritual practice, because much growth can be made in such dynamic time, for all of the constrictions and beliefs and old modalities are breaking down, breaking down. And they will break down more and more, until there is the necessity for the building of binding factors with the human race. The yearning of human heart for survival and for evolution will take hold, and human beings will build a society, a one world society, interlinked and interconnected in which a new paradigm may dominate. Old institutions will collapse.

You should not worry for these things because they are bound to occur, and the forces which guide the human beings in their evolution are very strong and they will bring the race forward. So it is not a dark time in human history, it is a bright time in human history - a bright time, for humanity stands on the very brink of a new era. A bright new future awaits humankind. So you look to the future and you look to the brightness of the human spirit, for it glows and it will radiate more and more and bring humanity to a new level, a new stratum of existence. And one world government will be established as a part of this evolutionary transition. There will be one human race, interconnected, interwoven and socially aware.

There will come to be higher value placed on the social order, on the interconnectedness than on the personal welfare. This is the evolutionary transition that is occurring. Individual welfare - though the welfare of none will be ignored - personal attainment of wealth, power, prestige will become less significant than the society as a whole. So there will be an increased social awareness among human beings in the future. But those things which are preventing the human society from going forward will have to end, and will end, for Mother Nature will play a role also. Those practices which are destroying the planet and which are harming human beings will have to be thought over and new ways found to do certain kinds of business.

You will see, this will occur. So do not worry, for these forces which hold the human being behind and chain them to the past they will be broken. Their hold is not so strong as it may appear.
