Today is the ending of a cycle of time and in one more day, there will be a new beginning, a new year in which a new cycle of events will be forthcoming. Now, in this new year, many things will take place, events both personal and social in the world there may be socio-economic changes and in personal life there may also be changes, for life is an

ever changing cycle of activity. It does not stop for anyone. Time goes forward and change is bound to occur with the passage of time. That is a part and parcel of humanexistence. So you see, this passage of time, it is not insignificant, but most significant and the demarcations

between one cycle of time and another are auspicious events because they mark the ending of one cycle and the beginning of another so they become auspicious.

Now, in this past cycle, there have been certain changes and some of these changes have been beneficial and some one might say appear to bring the society backwards. But you know, despite the ups and downs of day to day events, there is throughout time a forward movement, a march forward in evolution towards the culmination of human

existence. And in this forward march, there are certain events which occur that are marking points along the way. So it may seem some things go forward, some things go back, but there is a steady progression in the evolution of consciousness.

A particular society might do well at one point or junction, and then it might fall from its position, grace and power into degeneration and again another society may take the torch and move forward moving the human beings onward. But still, despite these changes, there is a forward

movement to evolution so that consciousness is progressing throughout time. Human beings are evolving, different species are evolving, they are all being drawn towards the cosmic nucleus, the focal point of all creation. They are magnetically pulled by the Supreme Being, who is calling to all living beings, "Come to Me, come to Me, come to Me."

That Supreme Being is calling each and every living being unto himself. You are being called, all people are being called, even the birds flying in the sky are being called, even the caterpillar walking in the dirt is being called, all living beings are being called by the Great. They are

being called forward, closer and closer to the cosmic nucleus of this universe, closer and closer to the supreme unqualified consciousness which lies quiescent within all creation, which is the essential consciousness underlying this manifest universe. All living beings are being called by that ocean of divine grace, by that ocean of pure

consciousness for that cosmic nucleus creates a wave which goes out through the created universe pulling all living beings forward in their evolution so that they might gain consciousness and then that consciousness might be enhanced so that they might know the Supreme Entity.

That is the grace of that infinite being, that He is drawing, pulling

all of the living beings forward in their evolution. They will not stagnantly sit forever, stuck in their particular vibration, their evolutionary stance. But they will be forever going forward and forward, enhancing their own

consciousness. They will be drawn along the waves of evolutionary flow towards the cosmic nucleus and as they are drawn, their consciousness will grow and grow. Their awareness will grow and grow until they will reflect upon themselves and they will see that they are in fact that

infinite entity. They will see the reflection of that cosmic nucleus within themselves and they will come to perceive it all around them. At that stage, a living being may gain conscious awareness of the infinite entity. So you see, the infinite being is always giving divine guidance to living

beings and even the passage of time becomes a vehicle for the dispensation of that divine guidance. Lives may come, and they may go, but living beings keep on evolving, keep on going, life upon life, coming closer and closer to the cosmic nucleus and that divine entity is so gracious to the created beings, He is always calling to them, always seeking them, pulling them, attracting them, loving them. He is ever

there for the living beings. So, as the years pass, and time marches forward, you should never think "What has my life become? It just goes on that I grow old." You should never think like this. You should think with each year that passes "Lord is calling to me, drawing me closer and closer to Him. With each year that passes He is exerting His divine attraction upon me and he is bringing me forward through the

process of evolution so that I am coming closer and closer to the source of his infinite being." And so the passage of time represents not the loss of anything but the gaining of proximity to the Great.

You may not know always that He is exerting this force, you may not always see the path that you have been taken down. It may be mysterious to you at times. You may even think "I am on no path at all. I am just wandering here and there." But in fact that may not be the

case, for you cannot know the intricate weavings of this most complex universe which require that you move this way and that to move forward in your spiritual life. So, I would suggest that you keep this in mind with the beginning of a new year, that you keep in mind that a new opportunity is given to you to come even closer to the infinite being than

you have ever been before and take this opportunity that is afforded to you to place your heart and your mind with that divine beloved. Let that infinite love become a part and parcel of your own self. Let your divine nature become consciously known to you. This very year, this very time,

make the leap forward to know the infinite within you. So as this new year approaches, a new opportunity is afforded you. Take the utmost advantage of this opportunity in the coming year.

Now, I would say a small message that is for this coming year.

"Let all beings be happy, let them set their feet on the path of movement towards the infinite consciousness. Let all beings move forward to embrace divinity. Let this year be a time for ideation upon the infinite. Take your shelter with your Lord. Place your heart, your mind and your all in the shelter of the Supreme and let that infinite entity guide you in all that you do."

Q: Baba now that you have left the body and you no longer have to deal with the body and you are one with the infinite can you describe what that flow is like? What is the infinite like?

It is an ocean without shores. It is love that has no source and no direction. It is love absolute. It is beyond the passage of time and beyond the cares of this world. But experienced while in a physical structure. It does not require the loss of a physical structure. You can perceive

this infinite divinity while existing in a physical structure through deep and concentrated ideation upon the Supreme. Take all of your feelings, all of your desires and concentrate them, single pointed, offer all of your

resistances to the Supreme saying "Lord, I am for you." and keep that infinite love, infinite consciousness like a pole star before you and surely you will come to taste that divine nectar for yourself. It is perceivable. Consciousness may be perceived directly by conscious self awareness with or without a physical structure. If consciousness is

awakened, that is irrelevant. It is the same with structure, without structure, it is the same. Body, mind, they are merely outer coverings, vehicles for expression in the physical world.

Q: What do you say I should tell my children, grand children when they tell me that the world is a dangerous and scary place to live in. What should I say to them?

You say, as a mother would say, that it is only dangerous if one believes it so that the same world can be a heaven or a hell. It is what you make it. You may make your life a hell or you may make your life a heaven and if you want to live in heaven and not in hell, then make it heaven on earth.

Q: Is there any particular character to this next year,

1995, that we can meditate on?

It is a very good year for sadhana. Take your shelter in the Supreme this year, make this a year for internal fortitude. Make it a time to strengthen the spirit within you so that if it is a scary world, so that if there are trials and tribulation, still there will be a place of love

and warmth, a place of strength always with you that may shine forth and bring a bit of heaven wherever you are. Is there another question?

Q: Baba, I am very thankful for your movements and influences on my life and I can feel you there when I call on you and sometimes when I don't call on you I can feel your presence. I am very thankful and very grateful for your compassion.

I am always with you. You should never doubt this. Divine love is yours

Q: Am I on the right road to releasing my children and my

grandchildren to their lives?

You are mother. To be mother is a very noble position. You do very nicely and your love and sincerity are felt by all. You hold to that, mother. Your love and sincerity bind your family together as nothing else in this world will but a mother's love.
