1.3.3 lokas

Mahatattva, ahamtattva and lokas

June 2, 1996

Q: Are mahatattva and ahamtattva above Hiranyamaya kosa and taparloka in both individual and cosmic mind?

The taparloka is the seat of mahatattva. It is in this loka that cosmic mind begins to formulate a sense of self awareness so mahatattva resides in taparloka, not above. It is a sheath in the cosmic mental projection. Now the next sheath in the cosmic mental projection is ahamtattva and that resides within the janarloka. It is not distinct from the functioning of the vijinanamaya kosa. It is expressed in this kosa. Mahatattva is expressed in the hiranyamaya kosa. On this point I am firm. It is incorrect to say that mahatattva and ahamtattva are above the mental sheaths within the cosmic mind. They are the first layer of mental projection and the second respectively. Outside of taparloka is the realm of the supreme Purus'a. Cosmic mind has no foundation in this sphere so one cannot say that the ahamtattva or mahatattva reside in this realm, only Purushottama in the aspect of Paramatma resides in this realm of satyaloka or brahmaloka. There is no mental formation. That comes with the first emanation of the mahat in taparloka. Alright?

Now, regarding unit mind or individualized cosmic projection, it is somewhat different. There is not a direct correlation between unit mind and cosmic mind because the unit mind is a created entity within the citta of the cosmic mind so that all of the kosas of the unit mind reside within the cosmic citta. They are projections of the cosmic citta and thus the ahamtattva and mahatattva reside outside of the five kosas in the unit mind for when they are accessed the unit mind or the atman is accessed and this is no different than the Paramatman. So the unit ahamtattva and mahatattva are not contained within the citta of the cosmic mind but within the cosmic causal projection in janarloka and taparloka respectively. Once the unit being has merged their awareness in ajinacakra, they have found the resting place of the mahat and they reside in Saguna Brahma. When this unit existence is melted into Saguna Brahma it ceases to exist as a separate expression but becomes the self of selves, the pure cosmic mahat. When this mahat is dissolved into the Purus'a, only Paramatma resides in that domain and all unit existence is not only dissolved into cosmic mind but then mind is dissolved and consciousness dissolved into its supreme origin, the Paramatma. Thus you will find that created beings dissolve again into that which was the origin of their creation.

The Paramatma is indistinguishable, undefinable, omnipresent, omnipotent and without attribution. So when the unit being, the created being, attains to this stance, it is said that that individual has immersed themselves in the state of indeterminate trance or kevalya. They have established themselves in attributionless consciousness and no more may one speak of individuality. For none resides in such a stance except Paramatma and his cosmic expression. So unit beings are created beings. They are created within the cosmic mind which means their manifestation, their individual expression, must reside within the cosmic citta. There must be a screen on which to project their existence and that is why for unit beings the causal kosas remain within the cosmic citta and ahamtattva and mahatattva are outside because in truth it is the mahatattva and ahamtattva of Saguna brahma that has manifested or projected their unit existence upon the citta of the cosmic mind. Do you comprehend? Alright, I think this point has been clarified. Are there further questions?

Q: What type of microvita are residing in the different lokas?

In the maharloka there is the most subtle form, the psycho spiritual microvitum which has no physical substance and carries only the pathways associated with cosmic will, cosmic mental projection. In taparloka and janarloka the medium is not microvita, not even subtle microvita. The medium is the subtle psychic emanation of the cosmic mind. It needs no microvitum to manifest because its manifestation is without thought or projection. It is not until citta is formed and there is a screen upon which to project the formation of cosmic mind that microvitum come into play. In the ahamtattva and the mahatattva, no such screen for projected expression exists. These are formative stages of the mind and in these stages, there is not mental projection, only mental development or manifestation. So there is no need for a substance when the knowledge of the capacity for expression develops in janarloka, takes full development in maharloka, then the inferential projections require the development of citta or a medium, a screen upon which to play or project this mental expression and the medium for the subtle expression becomes subtle microvita.

Q: If microvita are developed in the movement from saincara to pratisaincara how can they exist in the maharloka before matter is developed?

It is a good question, you see you have caught me because matter is developed as a result of manifestation. But this more subtle manifestation is expressed upon the inferential waves of the cosmic mind and the medium which it takes is subtle microvita for the cosmic direction within the citta. But I have said that this is developed from the dissolution of matter and this is in fact the case. But I have also said that subtle microvita is the vehicle for cosmic will, that is the cosmic thought projection, to be manifest. So you think there is a problem with this? There is one problem and that is that the cosmic mind cannot manifest the expressed universe without first conceptualizing its expression. When it is conceptualized in potential, there are a multitude of directions and manifestations which may occur. So that that which exists in potential may in fact be already projected, is already projected and never has existed for past, present and future are simultaneous. This linear development within a spatial framework does not occur in this dimension so to say that microvitum are developed with the onset of the introversial phase of evolution is an irrelevant statement in maharloka. But in bhurloka it is extremely relevant. In maharloka, it has no meaning whatsoever because maharloka does not exist in the same spatial and time continuum. The microvitum expressing in this realm have come to exist, will come to exist, and have never existed and further more, have already been dissolved into the cosmic nucleus. It is the realm of potentialities. Alright? Is it clear? This question of when microvitum are produced is completely irrelevant in this sphere. Alright?

Maharloka, the origin of the universe and lokas

May 23, 1996

I have not finished my discussion of the lokas.

Though we have covered this topic in some depth there yet remains several areas unexplored. One is an in-depth understanding of maharloka and another is the origin of the universe, its creation and dissolution in relationship to the lokas. Both of these I wish to cover. Then I will again take questions.

Today, I will speak about maharloka. This loka is the projection of the atimanasa kosa of the cosmic mind. That is to say, it is a projection of the causal mind in its formative stage. In this kosa, the cosmic entity is contemplating the nature and form of his expression. In maharloka, he expresses this contemplation in a myriad of possibilities and potentialities. Within this loka, there are forty-five different deities or focal points of cosmic projection through which he imagines or projects the possibilities or potentiality of various manifestations. In this realm, those beings of high or subtle development take manifestation to express this subtle inclination of the cosmic mind. They will appear to unit entities as beings of light and of great wisdom. They have been called khaimurti, emanations of light and their bodies consist of very subtle microvita or non-physical light. They embody knowledge and all the potentials of creation so that these beings may bestow great boons upon humanity because they have the power to alter the nature of reality. They hold creation in potentiation. Thus they are the knowers of truth, the wise ones. Theirs' is the realm of knowledge of all creation. In their realm, time and space are convergent so that the future and the past are both known in the present.

Though time and space converge in this dimension, still they exist as separate aspects overlaid upon each other. They are not unified in this dimension. The witnessing entity also is divergent though overlaid, so there is convergence but in a kind of layering of separate aspects. They are not merged. In this state, the universe, in all its possibilities, is ever in formation and so in the forty-five realms of creation, Brahma is ever manifesting all forms in a multiplicity of possibilities and potentials. Those who attain to this realm will find that they enjoy the power of creation, manifestation and dissolution. These three faces of the Supreme Brahma are expressed in this realm. So it is the realm of the gods eternal, ever creating, maintaining and destroying manifest existence. These beings who reside in this realm and carry forth these functions are fully knowledgeable of past, present and future for in their dimension, all of these are convergent. They know all the beings within their realm and may appear to those beings if they so wish. All that is manifest or has the potential to be manifest is known to them. They are the expressions of the cosmic mind in its formative stage in which it is contemplating the potentialities of expression. Alright?

Q: Can you correlate the three types of microvita with the lokas?

There are three categories of microvita. One is physical, it may be measured with physical instrumentation. That is manifest in bhurloka only. Then there is psycho-physical microvitum. They will manifest in bhurloka and bhuvarloka and to some degree in svarloka. When a being awakens in svarloka, they may take a body of this psycho-physical microvitum. Or if they are more subtle, they may take a body of the purely non-physical microvitum, the psycho-spiritual microvitum. So they may manifest in svarloka and also in maharloka following the inferential waves of the cosmic mind. Ideas are carried on the psycho-physical waves but the subtle expressions of Parama Purus'a are carried on the purely non-physical, psycho-spiritual microvitum and thus beings who express these subtle waves of Parama Purus'a may get manifestation in bodies consisting of this substance.

Q: What type of microvita are used by kaimurti?

The psycho-spiritual which manifest the waves of the cosmic mind. They take manifestation in a kind of non-physical light that is a kind of life substance of a very subtle spiritual nature.

Q: Is microvita the only differentiation between kaimurti or is there some other differentiation?

They are differentiated like the fingers of the hand are differentiated. They are part of the same whole in this dimension, reality is not distinctly divergent yet there is the overlaying of expression so that there is some degree of divergence. It is as if you stack one on top of the other. If you look from the top, in the same place, in the same time yet having some distinction, one may be turned at one angle, another turned at another angle so that they are similar parts of a whole but they take differing expressions for there are in this dimension different realms of potentiation and in the potential, there are different aspects. So there is the aspect of creation, of all of the potentials, creation of the imagination, creation of the manifest universe in all of its variety. There is the maintenance of manifestation and the dissolution. So these differing fingers of the hand may perform different functions and as one is stacked upon the other, the realm in which they function will be stacked one upon the other, twisted at a slightly different angular aspect or frequency so that they express a slightly different tonation of the cosmic intention, of potential manifestation, maintenance and destruction of the expressed universe.

Q: Is it possible for unit entities to access maharloka?

It is not accessible to jivas but it is accessible to those unit entities who have merged themselves in the atman but who have not fully merged into the Paramatman. It is a fine line. But those who wish to give service to Parama Purus'a may enter this realm to serve the living beings in the aspects of cosmic expression. Then their remaining subtle desire to serve the creation will bring them into manifestation in this realm, not as a jiiva per se but as expressions of the cosmic will and they will take eternal forms to serve the intentions, the inferential waves of the cosmic mind. Should they come to desire the dissolution of even this degree of expression, these subtle inferential beings may enter into a physical body within the creation which they are potentiating. They may potentiate their own expression. Though it is rare, it does occur and in such a form they may dissolve even their subtle inferential expression and take complete dissolution in satyaloka. But they will not move from maharloka directly to satyaloka. This movement is not possible. There must be divergence and full manifestation for the cycle to go full round. In the realm of potentiation there is the dissolution of form and expression but never the dissolution of the inferential waves. Alright?

Q: If unit entities attain moksa in satyaloka, but are only rarely able to access maharloka, what is the function of janarloka and taparloka with respect to the unit entities?

These are the formative realms for the cosmic mind. Unit mind in these realms is completely merged. Time and space have union. In janarloka there is knowledge of the potential to act but the true knowledge of janarloka is knowledge of the self. In this loka, the cosmic being knows himself, herself. He is self aware so that is why it is janarloka, the realm of knowledge, it is the first dawning, the first dimension in which there becomes true knowledge of self. In the process of pratisaincara and in saincara, janarloka maintains self knowledge. Time space and the witnessing entity are not divergent. Only the slightest hint, the potential of the capacity to act is formed. In taparloka, even the self knowledge is absorbed into pure awareness of existence. In this realm all is convergent and self aware. These two realms are only distinguished by a more distinct knowledge of self and the association of that knowledge of self with the awareness of the potential of manifestation of the capacity to act. So they are both cosmic expressions and any entity that should merge himself or herself in these dimensions will maintain no individuality whatsoever but become completely identified with the cosmic mind in this stage of manifestation. So if a person attains mukti, they will merge their mind into the hiranyamaya kosa of the cosmic mind and there will be no difference between their mind or their sense of self and the cosmic sense of self. If the person should maintain a physical body while doing this they will still have a physical body and the associated mental structure or personality but the sense of self will become completely dissolved into the hiranyamaya kosa of the cosmic entity which manifests in taparloka. So you see, this is the realm of mukti or dissolution of unit existence and moksa or dissolution of mind occurs in satyaloka or brahmaloka.

Q: Baba, what are you?

I am that I am. I have manifest the desire of the cosmic mind to bring all entities back to him. I am an expression of the sadguru which is a particular function of the cosmic mind and of the consciousness of Parama Purus'a. I was saying that I am not khaimurti but I take my residence in the self and in the pure consciousness underlying the self and from that self there is an all pervading light, the light of the Purus'a, shining through the cosmic mind, drawing all creation home again and I express that manifestation. I am a manifestation of that longing or intent of the cosmic entity and of Parama Purus'a. So khaimurti expresses my will and the living beings also respond to this clarion call and in that response and resonance I take expression in the various kosas and lokas. Alright?

I have no unit existence. I maintain form in all realms. I am not a unit entity but a manifestation of the magnetic pull of the cosmic nucleus. Alright?
